Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles at certain anatomical points in the body to relieve specific symptoms associated with disease. These points are thought to have certain electrical properties, which affect chemical neurotransmitters in the body. The needles are extremely fine, pre-sterilized, and disposable to insure the safety of the treatment. Some people feel nothing at all while others report a tingling sensation.
